Makeovers don’t always have to be a time-consuming endeavor; sometimes all you need is a coat of paint and a quick clean-up. Jennifer Holmes, the blogger behind Dear Lillie, turned her dark and drab linen closet into a rustic, organized space with plenty of pretty, and all it took was a little elbow grease and some organizational creativity.
Rather than using wallpaper, which could have proved tricky on the closet’s access panel, Jennifer opted to use a simple coat of paint and a stencil instead, to add an intricate and decorative touch. With the help of some wicker and canvas baskets, bird-adorned glass jars, and a new set of soft white towels, organizing the closet’s previously cluttered contents proved easy to pull off. The jar full of clothespins and burlap textures add a country touch, and the matching all-white towels keep the small space feeling open and airy.
